Microsoft Office 2003

Saurabh Nathany

I have a trial version of MS Office Small Business Edition 2003 pre-installed
on my laptop, valid till 31st March 2007. What do i do after that?

Will it be mandatory to buy a product key online? or
Will I be able to use the product barring a few features as an evaluation
version or demo version?
Will I be required to install the full version in the event I decide to
uninstall my current version above?
Thanks a lot!

Regards,
Saurabh

Hi Saurabh,

When an Office trial product expires it goes into 'reduced functionalitly' mode. Basically, it's a set of Office file viewers at
that point.

You can purchase a product key online and it usually, (but not always) gives you the usual 'perpetual' license for the product at
that time, without a need to install,

but if you do select that option. I suggest purchasing the optional CD as well.

Alternatively you can purchase, on your own, a complete boxed product at a retailer to have the CD right off. If you purchase
Office 2003 prior to 26Feb you may be eligible for the the free/low cost upgrade to Office 2007.
