Microsoft Office 97

I have a program that I need to use for work that is not compatable with
Microsoft Office 97. I have deleted Mirsosoft Office from my computer but
apparently there is a bug in it that says it is still in. I have used the
Microsoft tools removal wizard and clean up registry. Is there a patch for
this bug

Are you encountering a message? If so, what is it? If not, then can you
provide some additional details on what causes you to believe Office 97 is
still installed?

Also, did you uninstall Office 97 using Add/Remove Programs or did you
delete the installation folder?

When I try to run the ESInst program that I received from my employer I get
the message “The installation cannot continue because Microsoft Office 97 has
beendetected on your machine. EditScript will not work reliably with Office
97. To correct this problem, please follow the instructions at

I uninstalled Office 97 by using Add/Remove program. I also got Microsoft
Office Tools and used the removal wizard and have cleaned my registry
