Microsoft Office Compatiblilty

M

Mike Soljan

Hi, I have windows XP on my HP and it did not come with
Microsoft Office Componets such as excel(which I need). My
wife purchased the Microsoft Office XP professional, but
she got an upgrade by mistake, and I didnt realize it
until after I had opened the package. The only copy of
Office I have is Microsoft Office 97, so I installed it.
Does anyone know if they are compatable, or if any
problems would arise....since I cant find my XP disks at
the monemt. Thanks and could someone please email me an
answer, I dont think I could find my way back here again
to check for replies.
Thanks

The upgrade version of Office XP will work just fine since you already have
Office 97. Just put in the Office XP disks and, if Office 97 is installed
to your hard drive, you will be prompted to upgrade. Check yes (Office 97
is ending its support) and follow the prompts.
