Microsoft Office Document Imaging sometimes displays only blank pa

I can view the fax (.tiff) in other applications just fine but it shows up
blank in MODI. We recieve all our faxes the same way using the same software
NetSatisfaction (latest version). We seem to get a "blank" one for about
every 1000 faxes we recieve. Any Ideas? We are running version 11.0.1897.0
of MODI.

Hi Tony,

The TIFF file specification allows quite a bit of
'interpretation' of how its implemented. Some apps
are more sensitive to how the TIF is structured and
may not be able to work with it. If you resave one
of the 'problem' files to another file name from your
other app can you then open it in MS Office Document
Imaging 2003?

If these are multipage TIFFs is it only the first image
that is blank or all pages?

Thanks for responding Bob. We have been using NetSatisfaction for several
years now and 99% of the time everything works fine. Only 1 out of every
~1000 faxes has this issue. Sometimes there will be one blank page in the
beginning, middle or end of the document and sometimes the entire document
shows up as an 'x' number of blank pages. I am currently looking into how
the NetSatisfaction software might be causing this but I am still intrigued
as to why I can view the .tiff image in my IDM viewer (FileNet utility) and
not in the MODI program.

Hi Tony,

If the information in the problem faxes is not proprietary
can you email a couple of them to look at? TIFFs can be
tricky beasts

There can be problems with some files that are created
with a high bit count when scanned or in situations as
described in this article and the one it links to

There is a Hotfix you can get from MS for a Document Imaging
issue, but it doesn't sound like it's related to what you're
seeing (or in this case 'not' seeing).

Thanks for your offer Bob. Unfortunately the faxes I am working with are
confidential in nature so I can't send them to you. I though maybe you
worked for Microsoft with whom we have confidentiality agreement. I'll keep
