Microsoft Photo Editor

This is not available as a download from Microsoft, so how can I obtain it?
Thank you all!

I recently switched from Office 97 to 2003 and didn't, until just now,
realize I didn't have Microsoft Photo Editor. I still have the 97 CD.
What is the procedure for installing just the photo editor from it? I'm
a little reluctant to just run setup from it without knowing exactly
what I am doing for fear of messing up the 2003 set up which seems to
run flawlessly.

Thank you very much.

I don't have Office 97 anymore, so I'm not exactly sure where/how you'd find
Photo Editor. In Office XP and Office 2003, it's under Office Tools.

If you choose Start - Settings - Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs, is
Office 97 still listed? If so, then see if you can find Photo Editor there.

Otherwise, you'd need to use the CD, do a custom installation, and say No to
everything except for PhotoEditor.

OK, that makes sense. I will go for it and thank you very much.

You are absolutely right! I found Microsoft Photo Editor in Office 2003
Tools. I wish Microsoft gave a more detailed index to all the Office 2003
contents! Thank you Herb!

Right you are. I meant to say "in Office 2000 and Office XP, it's under
Office Tools." It is missing from Office 2003, and you get Picture Manager,
instead. Not a bad piece of software, but not a replacement for PhotoEditor,
either. :-(
