Have you tried updating your MDAC from http://www.microsoft.com/data?

Yes..I did search the Microsoft site...but with no luck.

I did the MSODO15.DLL search in Google but it didn't
recognise it??

Thank you anyway.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. What is my MDAC?

The MDAC are the Microsoft Data Access Components. They include drivers for
database access.
By installing the update from the website, you should get the required
versions of those DLLs.

Hi Ed

YOu must think I am thick. Could you possibly direct me to
the precise page where I might find the appropriate
download? I have looked at the microsoft.com site but
there seems to be a plthora of information with regard to
MDAC..SQL etc.

If you would be so kind as to send me the appropriate link
and the part of the page I need to click on I would be
very thankful. I am running Windows98 second edition.

Many thanks.

Thanks Ed. I did look at the page the other days and my PC
already has that line of text (Common Files). Any more
suggestions would be welcome?

The thing I can't understand is that I have loaded this
software in the past with no problems at all. The problem
has only arisen since I used the restore disk.

What version of Internet Explorer are you using?
Also, you seem to have escaped without telling us your Windows version.
Could you please do this?

Do you have Service Pack 1 for Internet Explorer 6?

Yes I do have that and I have installed it Ed.

Could the problem be that I am not running XP and that the
Microsoft Publisher 2002 disk I have is an XP version.

A later version of the MSADOR15.DLL file is on my
daughter's lap-top (she has Windows XP) - would it be
possible for me to save her .dll file to floppy and then
load it to my machine?

Best regards

Nigel

No. There was no specific release of Office XP or Publisher 2002 for
Windows XP - in fact, Windows XP was not listed as a supported OS for
Publisher 2002, as Windows XP had not been released when Office XP was
released.

You could give it a try, certainly. I'm running out of other options here!

Thanks for your Ed. Before I try that...it's not going to
muck up anything is it?

I'd back up the version of the DLL that you already have before trying
anything.
