Microsoft publisher ps files to PDF - some fonts distorted

Our team recieves newsletters in ps format from multiple satelite
locations that we would like to convert to PDF and publish on our
Intranet. We would like to avoid the expense of having to install and
train the newletter writers with a PDF converter program such as
Adobe.

Currently they send us the ps file, and we convert it using Acrobat
5.0. However, we noticed that several fonts such as Franklin Gothic
Book and Georgia look distored when opened in PDF format. They still
print fine, but we are trying to save a few trees here. Yes, we embed
all fonts when converting but we still see this issue. The only way we
see around it is to limit what fonts the newsletter writers can use

Is there any other suggestions? Does Acrobat 6 do a better job with
this?

Thanks
