Publisher 2003 PDF Format?

Karen S

I have a situation of which I'd appreciate some advice. I am the technology
volunteer for my kids' elementary PTA. A different person does the monthly
newsletter using Publisher 2003 and she doesn't know how to convert to PDF
(and I'm not well versed in it b/c I don't have Publisher. We are trying to
move towards sending the newsletter electronically. I own Acrobat 6.0 but
not Publisher 2003. What would be the easiest way to go about getting the
newsletter into PDF format? Can she do it easily without owning Acrobat? If
I purchase Publisher 2007, would I be able to open 2003 docs and convert?
Thanks for your help.

If either of you get Publisher 2007 you simply need the PDF/XPS Office
plug-in to save as a PDF. That plug-in for Office is free. All you have to
do is open the Publisher file in Publisher 2007, go to file menu, click save
as, choose PDF and off you go. It doesn't make a "great" PDF but it does
make a *good* PDF. I think they even have a setting for "online" to make the
file smaller than it would be for printing.

She can also get something like Cute PDF or Nitro PDF. I can't recall ever
using them but I see them mentioned a lot around these parts.

It's been a while since this post was made, but thanks for the suggestions.
I'll present all the options to the other person and see where it takes us.
Appreciate the help!
