Migrating Custom color palette from 2003 to 2007

We had a design firm create an excel spreadsheet template (in 2003) that our
team uses to create client reports. The template had a custom color palette
applied. When I open the template in 2007, the custom colors are no longer
available and all the custom formatting is messed up. Is there any way to
get that back?
