Migrating office 2000 to a Windows XP operating system

I just purchased a windows XP based computer and I want to
migrate my office 2000 software to this computer. Do I
have to buy a complete new office suite since my office
2000 CD does not indicate compatibility with Windows XP?

Office 2000 was released well before Windows XP so there is no way that the
compatibility would have been known and included in the Product description.

Having said that, Office 2000 works with Windows 95 and later.
