Missing buttons on toolbar - PowerPoint 2000

The standard toolbar is selected in PowerPoint but the buttons are not
visible. If you click on the double arrows you can see all the buttons in
the pop up box. Once you use the button, it will then appear in the standard
toolbar. Does anyone know what is happening?

Do you see the ? icon? There's an arrow to the right. Click on it and check
the boxes of the icons you want displayed, or click on Reset. Does that fix it
for you?
