Missing Cabs when Installing full file version of OneNote SP1 (and Office 2003 SP1)

Simon Cooke

Simon, my OEM contacts told me that the installation source for OneNote is
on the Toshiba recovery CD. Browse the CD to see if there is a OneNote
folder on it.

OK; I'm using the LISTool that you recommended to Grant Robertson; I'm told
that I'm missing SKU1A1.CAB when I try to install the LIS files from the
OneNote image on the CD.

This is getting tortuous.

OK - finally found a solution.

Use the LISTool to delete the install cache - then, installing the full
admin install works fine.

Finally!

Understood, and I'm glad your problem is resolved. I'm curious about what
was in the OneNote folder on the recovery CD. Was there a SKUxxxxx.CAB in
that folder? If there's a problem that other folks are likely to encounter,
I can follow up on it.

Nope - just an MSI file and the normal pre-setup stuff for systems without
the Windows Installer Service. No CABs. Oddly it was also in a subfolder
called "Manual".
