Missing mail

This has been happening on and off with Outlook 2000
saying receiving 1 of 5 and only 2 would appear or
receiving 1 of 4 and only one would appear.
Sometimes it says receiving 1 of 1, the box will pop up
saying I have new mail, the icon of the envelope will
appear in the systray but no mail in the inbox.

Any ideas?

sometimes ur anti-virus will strip the email from
Outlook.. U might make sure that its not in there.. Also
when this is happening look at ur email from the server
side .. IE Use www.mail2web.com to get to ur email from
the web.. see what is exactly in ur mailbox before
Outlook gets it.. The latest update to Outlook will block
attachments in the email and sometimes the email all
together...
