I purchased MS Office XP Small Office early this yeat and
the PowerPoint program was NOT on the CD. I purchased the
Small office version so that I could use PP. How can I
get the latest version of PP?

Wow - you did your homework, didn't you? And you're not exactly the sharpest
knife in the drawer if it's taken you seven months to realise that the SBE
doesn't include PowerPoint! I'm also curious as to where you purchased it,
as the SBE is only available with a new system - you cannot acquire it any
other way. The SBE of any version of Office has NEVER included PP, AFAIK
it's always been Word, Publisher, Excel and Outlook. The STANDARD version
(which is the retail version of the SBE) is the same except it swaps
PowerPoint for Publisher.

As to how you can obtain it - how do you reckon? You don't have to be
Einstein to work that out!

You purchased the Small Business Edition so you could use PowerPoint? It's
the only edition that does NOT include PowerPoint.

Hi Paul,

MS will be including Powerpoint in the Small Business Edition
for the first time when Office System 2003 comes out later
this year. You can get a trial copy of MS Office 2003
for free (except for shipping & handling) to try out through
http://microsoft.com/office/preview

Since you have an OEM copy of Microsoft Office you can
contact your PC supplier to see if they have a policy
for replacing/upgrading it to
OEM-Microsoft Office XP Professinal+Publisher,
otherwise you'll need to purchase a full product copy
(unless you have a CD for Office 97 or Office 2000 handy).
