Mixed mode - Can't get Windows Auth working

P

Paul Atkinson

Hey, all. I'm very confused.

I thought we were all set up, but even though we're under a domain and have
Project Server set to mixed mode, users set up as Windows Authentication
can't log in. I notice that when I try, instead of seeing LOGINT.asp, I see
LOGPS.asp (it appears to get redirected).

I've set up the project web security to allow integrated authentication and
I've tried it with Digest mode on and off (we do fit the profile, but it
doesn't appear to make any difference).

Thoughts? Thanks.

Hi Paul,

Could you please be more clear on what the issue is? Do you get an error
message? What is the address people are going to for Windows
Authentication? What is the address people are going to for PWA
authentication?

Thanks,

There is no error message. We see the project login screen asking for a
username and password. It has a link to use your Windows login. Clicking
that link (which says it goes to LOGINT.asp) brings you back to LOGPS.asp
instantly.

If I send my browser directly to LOGINT.asp, it brings me instead to
LOGPS.asp.

Am I making sense?

Oh, and sorry about the double post. Thanks for responding to both though.

Hi Paul,

Maybe it is the way in which you've set up the accounts. If you login as an
Administrator and check out an account that won't login, what is the Windows
account set to? It needs to look like this:

DOMAINNAME\User Name

If you just typed the username, it will not work.

Please let me know if this still does not work.

Sadly, it did already look like that.

I don't have any more information I know to be helpful at this time...any
more ideas?

Thanks again,
Paul
