mixed numbers- fractions

How do I express 2/5ths as a fraction,so it shows up the
same way 1/2 does in word as a smaller number next to the
whole number

Philip:

You might try to making the 2 superscript and the 5 subscript. Beyond that
you can also use the equation editor.
