mlang.dll

Hello,

I have a client with this odd Publisher problem. They
have an 80 MB Publisher XP document stored on there Dell
Windows XP workstation. The file opens successfully, but
when flipping through pages Publisher crashes saying that
there is an error with the mlang.dll file.
See a screen shot here:

The file is shared, and other network users can open and
use the file without issue. The closest possible
resolution I found is Q310689.

Read it here:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;310689

But this didn't seem to help. I will also mention that
this PC has all Windows and Office updates applied to it,
and that a full uninstall/reinstall of Office has not
helped either.

Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions.

Josh :)

Josh Publisher files *MUST* only be used from the local hard drive. Under
no circumstances should a Publisher file be used across a network, any
version. The file must be copied to the local hard drive, worked on the
local hard drive, Publisher closed and then copied back to the server.
No, yes NO other way is acceptable. File corruption and all sorts of other
issues will rear their heads.

What happens if you disable the spellchecker and try again?
