Modify text in Diagrams - Office 2003

Q

Text in shapes in diagrams seems to wrap within the shape - I want it to stay
on the one line, but taking off this option stretches the shape - that's not
what I want either. Something's changed between XP and 2003 - any clues?

Hi Quinn,

Can you be more specific on the diagram?

If you're working in an Autoshape/textbox then
Format=>Autoshape/Textbox lets you turn off wrapping
and and resizing.

If you're working in the 'Insert=>Diagram' drawing
canvas add-in see if turning off 'auto layout' changes
the behavior.

Hi Bob

Thanks for the advice - but I have played with both AutoLayout and
AutoFormat and it does not seem to help. I'm trying to work with a shape that
is part of the default layout for diagrams.

You didn't provide any information, as requested,
on the diagram type, composition, how created, etc
so not much to go on.
