Monitor "timing out"

N

Nancy Spencer

I am running Windows 2000, Office 97 Professional
Edition. I have a PowerPoint presentation that I send to
monitors throughout my company. I am having a problem
with the monitor "timing out". After 20 minutes or so,
the monitor goes black. When I touch the mouse (or any
key) it comes back on. Since I want my presentation to
run continuously throughout the plant, this is annoying to
say the least. I have tried changing the power settings,
I have made sure that the screen saver is turned off, yet
I cannot stop this from happening. Any help that anyone
can give please e:mail me at (e-mail address removed) and I would
most surely appreciate it.

You'll likely want to ask in a Windows newsgroup.

What did you set the Power Settings to?

Eric - thanks for responding. I set all of the power
settings to "never" on all of the power schemes, and on
both "plugged in" and "running on batteries". No matter
which power scheme I choose, it still times out on me
after about 20 minutes or so. This is really starting to
irritate me!!! I will post my problem in a Windows
newsgroup, as you suggest. This is all new to me, but I
think I know where to go. Thanks again - Nancy
