monthly event calendar

I need to develop an annual training calendar/schedule. We have hundred of
events throughout the State annually and I want to distribute the infomation
to everyone. It would also be used to avoid scheduling conflicts. A regular
calendar cannot hold all the needed information; therefore, I would need to
use a chart to reference the location, time, etc. or put this information in
another file? I would appreciate any thoughts.

Publisher isn't the best program for what you want to do. Excel? Microsoft

Thank you Mary Sauer for your reply. The links took me to Microsoft 2007
software. I doubt if my company would invest in additional software. I have
Excel 2003...do not have project. I did not see any examples of what I need
in Excel. I'm sure what I'm need exist...I'm just not sure where to look or
who to ask.
