More buttons

You can only add the buttons on the More Buttons menu to
the main toolbar. It does not seem that you can rid
yourself of them entirely or even partially which is what I
was hoping for.

You can customize yourself an entire new toolbar that you'll be perfectly
happy with, via Tools | Customize.

Actually, did you try dragging them off the toolbar with Tools | Customize
open?

Dear whoever-you-are,

There are good reasons, if you want to make changes to the default toolbars
in Normal, to close them all (for good) after copying over the buttons you
want from them (and adding any others you need -- mine evolved through a
process of "survival of the most used"). If you're interested, see the
