Can anyone tell me why the following is being put in my
code when I type something in FP2002?

<span lang="en-us">

What is it's purpose, assuming it has one? Is there any
way to make it so FP does not automatically put it in?

Hi Nathan,

That is typically written because your page language is set to something
other than English and then you are typing with an English keyboard. To
avoid this code, you should change the page language to English.

Incidentally, the page language is set when you make the first keystroke on
the page using a keyboard.

If you don't think your page language is something other than English, check
out this meta tag:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="en-us">

Thanks for your input! Do you know how I can set it so
that the language is set to English all the time? This
only started occurring recently. WHat can I do to correct
that? Is there a universal template I can set the
language for? thanks
