Hi I've gone from Publisher to PUblisher 98 to the newest
version, yet, when trying to open a document from 1993
that has a .pub extension Publisher simply says that it
cannot open the document. I tried some other files from
the early 90's and its the same thing. What the heck is
going on here? Can someone tell me why it won't recognize
a document obviously made by the same program???? Al

Seeing as the files come from the early '90s, it seems likely that the files
were created by Microsoft Publisher 1.0.
You will need to find someone with Microsoft Publisher 2.0 to open the files
for you
If that is not the case, you will need to disable Norton AntiVirus and try
opening them again

Nothing crap about Publisher. Try putting some crap into your mouth, you
may achieve a better result.
After all you should all about crap as you deal in crap.

Hi Brian Kvalheim, I really can't remember thats why I
put the date the file was created (1993) It was the
first Publisher program I bought. My guess would be that
its name was MS Publisher. My next update was
Publisher98 and then the next was Publisher2002. I had no
problem opening it with 98 but I am now. Thanks Al Catt
