Mouse arrow

My mouse arrow appears on my slides where I have video inserted in my looping ppt presentation. How do I go about eliminating this? I'm running PPT 2003, I had no problems with this occuring in my older version of Power Point (2000)
I did go thru online help and it instructs how to "hide" the pointer arrow, I've had no success with making it work. Any information would be greatly appreciated
