Move rule makes copies

I have several rules set up for new mail. I move mail to
a folder depending on content. Subsequent rules also act
on the mail and create duplicates. Its not moved, it's
copied. How do I "move"?

First, if a rule is supposed to be the only one that act upon a message, you
need to have "and stop processing more rules" as a condition. Next, to get
it to "move", you also need to include the "delete it" action so that the
rule deletes the original copy. I know this works, because I just tried it.
