move rules keep a copy in inbox as well

Tony

Hi,

I have this problem with oultook 2002. i set up rules to
move emails from certain users to certain folders, the
problem i have is that the rule is copying to the
specified folder and keeping a copy of the email in the
inbox. how do i go about changing this so that the email
that meets the conditions is moved and no copy is kept in
the inbox

Any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance

Make sure your rules end with "stop processing more rules" so that you don't
have multiple rules acting on a particular message -- that tends to cause
duplication.

Add a stop processing to the rule that moves the message.
