Moving an email from the in-box

If you have your folder view open where you can see all your mailbox folders
(in-box, sent items, deleted items, outbox, etc) at the very top is the main
folder called "Mailbox - user's name". I had a user who moved an email from
his in box to the "Mailbox - user's name" and now he can't find it. Where
does it go? I recreated the scenario and can't find out myself where the
email goes.
