Moving Desktop to Laptop

I recently got a new laptop just a couple months after I
got Office XP. I have Office XP installed on my
desktop. Can I install it on my laptop if I remove it
from my desktop and not violate the user license
agreement? Also, would I still be able to activate it?
Let me know.

Thanks,
Tim

If you have a retail version of Office XP, your license allows installation
on one Desktop and one Laptop - you would not need to un-install your
desktop deployment. Activation will be no problem; I activated both the
desktop and laptop installations for my copy of Office XP via internet with
no "glitches".

However, if your DeskTop installation of Office XP is an OEM installation;
i.e., it "came with" the computer, that installation of Office XP is
permanently tied to the computer it was installed on and cannot be installed
on another.
