Moving detail of emails from side to below

How can I set my Inbox so it shows the email detail below the Inbox rather than to the right?

I assume you're talking about the Reading Pane in Outlook 2003. Go to View
| Arrange By | Current View | Customize Current View, click the Other
Settings button, and select Bottom in the Reading Pane section.

Great. thanks to you both. Simpler way worked fine. why couldn't I get an answer when I used Outlook's help? Possibly because i didn't use word 'pane'
