Moving from Office 2000 to Office 2003

I currently have Office 2000 installed and want to upgrade to a newer version.

1) What are the pros and cons of using upgrades rather than full retail
versions?
2) If using full retail versions, (a) is it better to "uninstall" the old
version and then install the full version OR (b) is it better to install the
new "on top" of the old?
3) Where can I find the specs on whether I can upgrade from 2000 directly to
2003 or have tp purchase a full retail 2003.
4) Does anyone know how soon the next version of Office will be availabe? I
might just wait to upgrade to that!

THANKS

Upgrades mean that you have to keep the old version handy just in case. Full
version means you can try to sell the old version.

Whether you uninstall or not is personal preference. I have three different
versions of Publisher on my system. Comes in handy at times. Sometimes I
wish I still had Office 2000 too but I eliminated it when I put 2003 on.

It all depends on what you're doing, how much hard disk space you have, how
you work, etc.
