Moving pictures that I insert do not move when insterted

i am trying to instert a picture that shows a ball roling down and incline
plane. It is a GIF image and when insterted the picture is frozen in its
first positon. Any help is much apriciated. Thanks!

Hi,

It depends on your version of PowerPoint. Gif doesn't play in version 97.
Also, if you have version 2003, make sure you have the latest service packs
installed. Go to Help| Check for updates.

To add to what Glenn said, be sure you are viewing the GIF in Slide Show
view, otherwise it will appear "frozen". Animated GIF's only animate when in
Slide Show view. So, when you are editing the slide, it will not appear
animated. And if you are using version 97 or before, it won't animate in ANY
view.

Thanks!!!! This answered my question. For any others that may have the same
problem, I am using power point 2003 and have all updates. This picture is
animated in the slide show, but is only frozen in the working view. Thanks
