Moving Shapes

When I try to move shapes to a very explicit location, they often "jump" to
some other spot close by as if snapping to a grid. For example, if I have
a shape selected and press the left arrow key, it moves multiple pixels away
(up -and- left). I've tried to be sure I've got "Snap to grid" turned off
in every possible place but so far it has eluded me. Help!

Have you tried holding the "shift key" down and using the arrow keys to
refine the position?

I thought I had but it appears not... However, the results are still mixed.
Left and right still go farther than desirable with each key press (one
pixel at a time, please). Up and down still -also- go left or right,
respectively. I wish these things would behave the way graphic objects in
the rest of the Office suite do. Once MS took over Visio, you'd think
they'd put in their own standards to some degree.

Anyway, thanks for the one tip - it does reduce the problem though much of
the problem remains.
