Mozilla with Office 2003

I would like to use Mozilla's email client to send emails when I click on an
email address in an Excel cell. How do I configure this?
It automatically wants to use Outlook.
I'm running Office 2003.

You can't, because Mozilla is does not comply with the Messaging
Application Programming Interface (MAPI) standard.

garfield-n-odie,

Thanks for your prompt response! That answers my question. Sorry for being
such an "Odie" but my knowledge is limited in these areas. I know just
enough to be dangerous.

I was referring to the original Mozilla and all versions of Netscape
through 7.2, which are not MAPI-compliant. I didn't see anything on
http://www.mozilla.org that says Thunderbird is MAPI-compliant, so I
assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that it isn't, although I haven't tried it
myself. If you'd like to share how you did it...

I've had it set up for quite awhile so I can't recall it exactly but I
believe it would involve three settings. Setting T-bird as default mail (in
T-bird). setting T-bird as default mail in IE (which usually happens
automatically once you do that in T-Bird) and then in Windows 98 under
Folder Options, File Types, changing the target of URL:mailto protocol to
Thunderbird.exe. ( URL:mailto protocol sometimes mysteriously "drops out" of
the file types section and you occasionally need to restore it so that you
can change it. There is a registry patch for that at one of the MVP's web
pages. Different OS's have different patches)
