MS Exchange error when synching

J

Jeff Lucero

When users try to sync they get the following
message: 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error
(0x8004010F) : 'The operation failed. An object could not
be found.' Microsoft has an article out (289969)and
explains the following: SYMPTOMS
When you work offline and press F9 to synchronize your
folders, you may receive the following error message if
your network connection is interrupted:

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error
(0x8004010F) : 'The operation failed. An object could not
be found.'
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, contact your e-mail
administrator because the problem is with the offline
address book configuration on your Microsoft Exchange
Server.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the
Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of
this article.

Has anyone tried to resolve this on their own? If so, can
you please provide some info?

What if your not working offline and do not press F9, yet
you still get the error message? This first showed up
when we were beta testing 2k3. Two users (both have admin
privs), one gets the error and the other doesn't. Email
is working, messages are both received and sent.
