MS OFfice 2007 Beta Activation Problem

I have been following the messages in this sectiion about activation issues.
I originally thought I was the only one having this problem, but I see that I
am in good company - lots of it.

I am still having problems getting the activation wizard to "find" my cable
internet connnection. I have done everything everyone else has suggested
(firewall tweaking, internet setup checking, etc.).

My puzzlement is that there are also messages in this thread that say the
activation problem is "fixed now".

Not at this computer!

Is there some magic that someone who has found that it has been "fixed" can
pass along?

The limitation is actually in Windows rather than Office, but you usually won't be able to acvitate through a router or proxy server
that requires a pause for a username or password.

I also cannot activate MS Office 2007 via the activation wizard. The
telephone activation option is grayed out. The internet activation option
tries but I get a message that my internet connection is off, however, it's
working just fine. I made several calls to MS, reached an activation
department but they referred me the MS support site and told me to post my
question in the search box and that resulted in no responses. They also told
me there was an activation option via their web site, but I'm unable to find
that. Any help would be aprreciated.
