MS Office 97/Windows XP Pro Problem

After installing MS Office 97 with the SR-2 patch on a new computer with Windows XP Pro, I get the following message when I open Word
"Microsoft Visual Basic" Compile error in hidden module: Auto Exe
This error message contained "Help" which I selected and found the following file could not be found
C:\Program Files\Common File\Microsoft Shared\VEENLR3.HP
I then reinstalled but it didn't resolve the problem so I uninstalled and reinstalled. Now I still get the error about "Microsoft Visual Basic" Compile error in hidden module: Auto Exec but do not get the message about not being able to find the VEENLR3.HPL file. Can this be resolved?
