MS Office Outlook is auto synchronizing inbox: how do I stop it?

Inbox is frequently is replenished with previously deleted emails. An icon
on the task bar appears "MS Oultook Office Synchronizing" and automatically
my Inbox is reloaded with the read, deleted mail

Disable your AV integration with Outlook.

reading.
