MS Office XP Pro ERROR

Hello, I had ms office 2000 on my computer and I recently
purchased ms office xp pro, and when I finish installing
the cd, I get an error message opening any of the
programs. The error message reads: "MS Word has not been
installed for the current user. Please Run Setup to
install this application." I have myself and my sister
using this computer with two users being identified, and
the program does not work on either user.
