I need to delete over 300,000 items in my Contacts list. When I use select
all from the Edit menu the program locks up. And deleting the items 1 at a
time is going to take forever. I just started using Outlook and tried to
import an address list I had made in Excell(bad move)that is the reason for
the 300,000+ items.

Switch to a category view and then select portions of the list. Click on
one, scroll down a ways and click on another while holding down Shift. This
will select everything between the first and the last. Press Delete. Empty
your Deleted Items folder periodically.
