MS Project Preferences

Where does MSP store preferences?
I would like the Project Summary Task bar to show on every new project I
work on, and I keep having to turn it on each time (Tools -> Options -> View
Tab -> Show Project Summary Task Bar)

MS Project stores the Tools / Options preferences in the Windows registry if
you click the Set as Default button... except the View tab where there is no
Set as Default button ;-(

Some settings are "above the line" and are general settings that are
remembered from project to project. Others are "below the line," project
specific settings that are saved as part of the project file. The status of
the Project Summary Task is one of the latter. If you tuen it on and then
save your project it will be on when you reopen it.

d20,

I would suggest that you save a project "template" file (*.mpt) that has all
of your preferences in it, and use it as a starting point point for the
creation of new projects so that your "tweaks" are saved and available for
all new projects. PMO's that I have worked in generally like this approach to
standardize some of MSP's settings.

I hope that helps.
