MS Publisher 2003 newsletter

I have created a newsletter in MS Publisher. It looks great except that
there is a space between the last line in every paragraph.

Like this:

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

How do I fix this?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
