MS Publisher - Sending a web page as an e-mail message

Dolores

How can you get this feature to work in MS Publisher 2003? -Sending a Web
Page in an E-Mail Message. I do not want to attach the .htm file to an
e-mail, but rather send the web page in the message of an e-Mail.

I can not add the buttons or commands 'E-Mail Preview' or the 'Send This
Page as Message' to a toolbar or menu. I'm using MS Outlook 2003 and it is
set as the default e-mail program.

Is this a bug in the software? If so, can a fix be downloaded.

....OR .....am I doing something incorrectly?

Thanks in Advance for Your Help!

I use Publisher 2002 and have same problem. Using toolbar to send a page
created, assistant's message " cannot connect to e-mail system" - my e-mails
in Office XP Pro set up correctly and usable. Perhaps I'm missing a linking
file?

Dolores and Shyam,

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;884425 explains how
it works.

However, if it is not working for you, I recommend doing at DETECT AND
REPAIR from the Help menu of Publisher and Outlook so that they are
reassociated with each other. This has fixed this problem for many.

Tried both suggestions - neither worked. Surprising because same Office
program w/identical components worked from inception so didn't have to delve
into problems such as these. Have checked/disabled Internet security also -
w/o sucess. Conclude that there must be some embedded file linking other
Office programs to Outlook to enable sending page by e-m (via toolbar) and I
am missing it or it is corrupted. Reinstalling Office XP (2002) hasn't worked
either. Any other suggestions?

What happens if you make Outlook Express 6.0 your default email client?

With OE6 it works fine; doesn't w/OUTLOOK. Would like to keep OUTLOK as my
default client but guess I can activate OE6 as default for sending multiple
messages from other Office programs. Would be nice if I could find the 'real'
problem w/OUTLOOK - then wouldn't have to monkey around w/various programs -
no real rush but would appreciate any new thoughts.

So Publisher is not the only problematic app with Outlook?

Correct. I guess my posting on Publisher site resulted from my frequent use
of Publisher and I was trying to e-mail a project at the time. But it applies
equally to Excel and PP - and OE can handle but Outlook cannot. Guess I
should post problem on overall 'Office' board and hope some one else has has
similar experience. Am convinced there is some link 'run.dll' file that is
missing/inoperative - problem is I don't know which one. Do you? Thanx for
your help thusfar.

Shyam.....this means I don't have an answer :(

Based on what I have seen this is all I know. You mention dll, and I
sometimes think "is it a bad registry entry" not giving Outlook a default
option/entry. I truly don't know.

I am think office.misc or outlook group possibly.

I tend to have a mental problem and think that my computer is not CLEAN, so
I reformat like once a month so I never have problems :-O
