Hello.
I was directed to this newsgroup for support.
I hope someone can help.
Here is my problem
I have installed Microsoft Office XP with Frontpage.
Specifically, with Word, ...
if I have one or more word windows open at the same time,
and minimize any one of them to the taskbar....
then, when I try to re-open it (restore, or, maximize),
it CLOSES the entire program. No error, just closes Word
completely. Then upon re-opening word, it tries to
recover saved documents and such...
Please, this is not good, as data is continuously being
losed...
I have already done the following
Uninstalled Office. Deleted Folder. Removed all KEYS in
the registry pertaining to "office".
Then did a full install again..
I have attempted to install ServicePack 1, however it
gives an error regarding the following file:
pt632.tmp.
Does any1 have any suggestions or know of a fix for this
strange 'closing' problem?
Perhaps the new updates fix it..if so, then, maybe a fix
for the following error when i try to install SP1
"error 1328. Error applying patch to file
c:/config.msi/pt632.tmp."
Thank you for your time.
