I have windows 98. I use ms word extensively and
frequently use the "HELP" icon. Until recently I always
received information how to solve a given problem I posed.
Now when I use it I receive a window with "what would you
like to do?" I type in, for example, "taskbars" and click
on search. I immediately get an other window with sevral
options all addressing taskbar solutions. I chose one,
highlight it, click on search--- and nothing happens. No
reply, no information,nothing- the same window remains on
the screen without result. I am really upset, and don't
know what else to do.
I recently lost a taskbar and could not find it. I clicked
around it and finally found that I had checked standard
and format on one line. I removbed the check mark and
bingo I got my taskbar. I think I might have ruined help
when I tried to find my lost taskbar.
Can you tell me how I can receive my help information
again in WORD. I would most certainly appreciate a prompt
