MS WordMe help, templates changing by themselves

I do a great deal of typing in MS Word Me edition. Here lately I've been getting a message when I close Word stating "There have been changes made to the global template, normal, do you want to save these changes?" When I choose "No" it repeats the request, so then I choose "Cancel" and I will again get the same message. This happens 3-4 times before Word ever closes. This happened over the holidays and I had to change the template Normal to Normal.old at first this seemed to help the problem, now I'm back in the same situation I was in before. I have tried to uninstall Word, then reinstall it and that doesn't help. Is there anything that I can do to correct this problem? I depend on Word a great deal for assignments and business. I really need this to be corrected.

This is usually a result of a poorly designed add-in, either in the Word or
Office Startup folder or a COM add-in. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CheckIfAddinsInstalled.htm to get an
idea of what add-ins are loading and might be responsible.
