MS Word's Insert -> Fields-> TC Problem

Using MS Word's Insert -> Fields-> TC, I built the following entry {TC
"Robert Lee \"Pete\"" \l 2}. When I build the table I get:
Robert Lee "Pete\

Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

Well, you're not doing anything "wrong," so you can draw your own
conclusions! One solution that another user came up with is to use two
single closing quotes instead of a double one (backslash not needed).
