MSI Install over current version?

T

thorntonryan

We are going to push out an Office 03 MSI through Active Directory and are
concerend about several computers which already have Office 03 installed.
Will this just install over the current install with no issues or will I see
problems? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you run the installation with Windows Installer then there's nothing to
worry about.
If you use an unattended approach (/qb /qn or whatever), the installation
will automatically close when it detects an existing installation.
