I have a WinServer03Standard server with Office 03. Whenever I log onto a
machine with a local account, the Office installer begins and I and stuck
with the error below. It is looking for a shared network drive, if I map to
that location it works. However, everytime I log on I have to map the network
drive and it is real annoying. Is there any resolution?

Description:
Product: Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 -- Error 1327. Invalid
Drive: F:\

The problem is Office will not let me install on the local C:\ drive. It only
allows installation on a network drive. Is there a registry setting to fix
this?

Hi,

This is one scenario where the most annoying Microsoft phrase is
actually valid - "Contact your network Administrator".

If you're the network admin you'd know the answer, if you're not then
where did you get this copy of Office?

Are you trying to install this on a big corporate network or a home PC?

I see the option to select the C:\ drive and the network drive but it wont
allow the selection of the C:\ drive for install. When I disconnect the
network drive, it still wont let me install on C:\.

A lot of different people are using and installing\unistalling software on
this server. Something related to the OS or Office was corrupted.

The CD is fine.
