MSOffice XP, Windows XP SP2 - when trying to open known good file.

When I try to open a known good MSOffice filename.doc or filename.xls I get
the message "The file filename.doc is not available. I've just updated from
Windows XP SP1 to SP2. I have also just updated to MSOffice 2003, and then
when I tried to open a known good file, I get that message. Then I
deinstalled MSOffice 2003, and reinstalled MSOffice XP, but I still have the
problem. This problem also occurs if I create an MSWord file, and save it,
then try to reopen it. I can open the doc files using Wordpad, and another
program, with no problems. I noticed that MSWord has a Security setting, and
so I reduced it to 'lowest', but no change.

First, change the security setting back to medium or high. Then disable
the Office Plugin that comes with Symantec/Norton AntiVirus. See
