Multi-thread downloading email STOPPED working Outlook 2002/2003

Hi there,
I have been running Office XP 2002 for some time.
When I first installed it and for a weeks thereafter,
receiving mail would use multiple threads.
I.E. I have about 5 email accounts. When I hit
send/receive Outlook would download mail from 2 or more
accounts simultaniously (usually all 5 at once). I
understand this was a new feature of Outlook XP.

This feature ceased working a few weeks later. I could not
find any support info on it at the time and have since
just put up with the loss of it.

I have now installed Outlook 2003 (I am a reseller and
hence have early access to this from MS)... I was hoping
that installing the new version would remove this issue.

But it has not. We have installed office 2003 on another
computer in our business and the Multi-thread message
downloading works just fine.

Is this a known issue with a known fix? I would really
like to sort it out.

Regards,

Jonathan

PS. Please email replies to jonathanevatt(TAKETHISOUT)@hotmail.com because I
often can't find my messages on the
newsgroup after posting them.

It could be that your mail profile is corrupt. Try recreating it.

Thanks Roady...

Does that mean creating a user profile and setting up all the email accounts
again?

No, a user profile holds all the Windows settings for a user. The Mail
profile is just the account settings for Outlook. You can do this in Control
Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles
